The youth bus is used regularly by Interchange to meet and
advise young people. It is also available for use by other
groups and organisations, and whilst not a passenger carrying
vehicle, could be used for transportation of equipment.
The
bus works in the local community and is staffed by youth workers
based at Interchange (Hucknall Leisure Centre). The work offered
from the bus includes the following:

Jobs, education and training information from qualified Connection
workers.
- Health information including contraception and teenage pregnancy.
- Support for drug users.
- Housing and teenage homelessness.
- Food parcels are available for those in need (supplied by
the Food Distribution Project).
- Leisure activities - e.g. kayaking, climbing, skateboard
competitions etc.
- On-board refreshments - tea, coffee and toast.
