About
Us:
On
Easter Sunday 1963 the Bethesda Methodist Church and Cavendish
Street Methodist Church, known locally as The Cock and
Hen were merged and the East Side Methodist Church came
into being. The present premises, built to the glory
of God on the site of the original Cavendish St. Methodist
Church, was officially opened on October 3rd 1970. On the
wall behind the pulpit is a wooden cross made from the beams
of the old church. We are a small congregation of faithful,
mainly elderly, people who are often joined by our friends
and neighbours from Nottingham Neuro-Rehab [formerly The White
Rose Centre]. Our Sunday Service is at 10.45am. We are also
open for coffee and conversation each Wednesday 10.15 -11.30am.
A friendly welcome waits for everyone.
